Private family graveside services for Hattie Myrle Smyly Pugh, 96, of Leland, MS will be at Hollandale Cemetery. She passed away Monday, June 8, 2020, at her home. Boone Funeral Home of Leland, MS has been entrusted with arrangements.
Hattie was born April 1, 1924, in Vineland, AL, to Charles Godfrey Smyly and Lottie Mae Clark Smyly. She moved to MS in 1936.
She graduated from Catchings High School in Delta City, MS. She worked as a Branch Clerk at propane gas companies for 37 years.
Hattie was devoted to her children and was a sweet and loving grandmother. She loved growing and working in her garden every year.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers; Charles, Maxie, and Eugene Smyly, and a daughter, Brenda Pugh Bariola.
She is survived by three sons; Gerald (Sara) Pugh of Oxford, Butch (Peggy) Pugh of Cleveland, and Lee Pugh of Leland, 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
