Memorial services for Henry Aron Reed, Jr., 70, of Greenville will be at 11:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 14 at First Baptist Church, Leland. He died Saturday, March 11 at his home.
Mr. Reed was born on March 16, 1946 in Wayside, MS the son of Henry Aron Reed and Ina Trull Reed. He was the owner and operator of City Mercantile Company. Mr. Reed loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Kay Reed Burns and a brother, Robbie Reed. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Rushing Reed; 3 daughters, Amanda Pace (Ken), Cymantha Holloway (Glenn) and Kim Reed; a son, Geg Reed (Julie); 11 grandchildren, Blair Reed, Courtney Reed, Lauren Kersey, Zack Reed, Gracie Reed, Glenn Holloway III, Leslie Carroll, Josh Reed, Beau Dunn, Amanda Starkey and Ashley Dunn; 11 great grandchildren and 2 sisters, Jerry Dean Potter and Carol Mosely.
In the early 1980’s Mr. Reed made the decision to have his body donated for anatomical study at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.
The family would like to thank Sta-Home Health and Hospice and Grace Hospice for their care of Mr. Reed.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:30 a.m., Tuesday at First Baptist Church, Leland. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, American Diabetes Association or to First Baptist Church, Leland.
