Funeral services for Iona Geraldine “Judy” Homan Wilson, 78 of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Restoration Church. She walked into glory on Saturday, July 8, 2023 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo, MS. Burial will be in the Hollandale City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. From a very young age, she was selfless and hardworking. She was a faithful servant to God and spread his love in hopes it would bring others to Him. She deeply loved her family and friends and enjoyed every moment she got to spend with them.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Zelma Mildred Homan, her father Edgar “Sonny” Homan, three brothers, Danny, Larry Jason, and Charles Homan, one sister Evelyn Toops, and her daughter, Kathy Sue Fortner.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Wilson, Jr., her sister, Betty Jo Bradham (Delwood), her twin brother, Edgar Eugene Homan (Tootsie), brother, Billy Homan, her precious stepmother, Mary Frances Roncali, sister-in-law, Patsy Homan, her daughters, Cindy Edwards of Greenville, MS, Karen (Mark) Davis of Denham Springs, LA, and Angie (Walt) Trawick of Hollandale, MS, two grandsons, Brandon Wilson and Chase (Courtney) Stevenson, granddaughters, Chelsea Stevenson, Ashley and Brittany Hearn, Dana (Cody) Camp, Courtney and Nikki Kuhn, and Katelyn Davis, 15 great-grandchildren, Grant Butler, Lainey Horner, Allie Putman, Piper Iona Putman, Kimber Lily Camp, Andi DuBois, Camden McClure, Grayson Price, Gunnar and Skyleigh Shelton, Jett Stevenson, Denton Stevenson, Mason Stevenson, Aydan McCoy and Mason Roush. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.
There will be a visitation from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation to the National Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ncadv.org) in her honor.
