Funeral services for Ivy Ann Griffin Gordon, 77, of Avon will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born in Drew, MS where she received her education. In 1954 she married Douglas Lee Gordon, Sr. and they lived in Cleveland until making their home in Greenville since 1974. She was employed with Hager Hinge Company until retiring in 1993. She attended Temple Baptist Church. She was a devoted Mother and Grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1996, a son, Roland Gordon, a daughter, Barbara Holman, 2 grandsons, Scottie Smith and Jerry Smith and by 2 sisters, JoAnn Ray Green and Stella Porter.
She is survived by a son, Lee Gordon (Paulette) of Avon; daughter, Rhonda Gordon Trainer (Frankie) of Wayside; sister, Lucille Haney of Pass Christian, MS; 17 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is also survived by Curtis Ray (Betty) and Randy Ray (Cindy) both of Greenville whom she raised as her own.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, March 28, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
