Graveside services for James Hollis Davis, Jr., 60, of Greenville will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, October 15 at Golden Link Cemetery, Anguilla, MS. He died Thursday, October 12 in Rolling Fork. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Davis was born in Rolling Fork, MS and rasied in Nitta Yuma, MS. He was a longtime resident of Greenville where he worked for many years at Mainstream Mufflers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Nascar fan. Mr. Davis was a regular stock car racer at the Greenville Speedway where he won several trophies. He attended Maranatha Assembly of God Church. He was a kind person and friend to all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Hollis Davis and Gloria Sniffin Davis and by a sister, Beverly Warrington and brother-in-law, Doyle Warrington.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Ann Woods and husband, Randal of Greenville.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Sunday at Boone-Smith Funeral Home, 1580 S. Colorado St.
