Memorial services for James “Jimmy” Herbert Renfroe, 78, of Benoit will be held at a later date. He died Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at his home. Boone Funeral Home of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
He was born in Morton, MS to Carrie J. and Herbert G. Renfroe moving to Greenville at an early age where he graduated from Greenville High School. After graduation he attended Mississippi Delta Community College. He was employed with Delta & Pine Land in sales and marketing for 31 years retiring in 1998. After his retirement he was engaged in land development and was instrumental in the development of 27 Break Hunting Club. He was a member of the Elks Lodge, served on The Jefferson Bank Board for many years and was a member St. James Episcopal Church.
He is survived by his wife, Martha s. Renfroe; two sons, James “Jimmy” Renfroe, Jr. (Renee) and Damon Renfroe; daughter, Dana R. Love (Mark) and five grandchildren, Katie, Hayden, Meagan, Christopher and Natalie.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to St. James Episcopal Church, 1026 S. Washington Avenue, Greenville, MS 38701 or a charity of your choice.
