Graveside services for James Ray Terney, Jr., 93, of Greenville will be at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday January 26, 2023 at Montroy Cemetery on Coahoma Moon Lake Road in Dundee, MS. He passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Services are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Ray was born on October 22, 1929 to James Ray Terney, Sr. and Grace Terney.
Throughout his life, Ray was involved in the Greenville community, having served as president of the Delta Area Traffic Club, president of the Propeller Club, member of the Jr Chamber of Commerce, and Commodore of the Greenville Yacht Club for 2 terms.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of nearly 50 years, Betty Terney. He also leaves behind 3 sons: Ray of Louisville, Clarke of Louisville and Jim (Maggie) of Greenville. Ray had 4 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
