Jane Ricketts Ganier

Graveside services for Jane Ricketts Ganier of Hollandale will be at 2:00 p.m.,  Saturday, December 19 at Hollandale City Cemetery. She passed away on December 17, 2015 at St. Catherine’s Village in Madison.

Jane was born in Leland on December 9, 1920. Her parents were Robert Willis Ricketts, Jr. and Jane Best Ricketts. She was a graduate of Hollandale High School. In 1945 she married Elie James Ganier, Jr. of Hollandale. She served as an elder and Sunday school teacher at Hollandale Presbyterian Church for many years. She was also actively involved in the Hollandale Garden Club, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Delta Debutante Club. She was a mentor at Simmons Elementary School in Hollandale.

She leaves a daughter, Janelie Ganier Johnson and son-in-law, Van Johnson of Hollandale, granddaughter, Lucy Johnson of Madison and grandson, Carson Johnson of Hollandale.

Memorials may be made to Arms of Mercy, Greenville, MS and the Palmer Home for Children, Columbus, MS.
