Funeral services for Jean Milhorn Bradford, 87, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m, Thursday, August 31 at Trinity United Methodist Church. She died Monday, August 28 at her home. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Bradford was born December 27, 1929 in Blytheville, AR to Ellie Chapman Milhorn and Henry Virgil Milhorn. She had been a longtime resident of Greenville where she worked as a secretary at the Greenville Air Force Base from 1953 until 1960. She worked for Harold Kaplan A/A from 1960 until 1965. She later worked for the Washington County Department of Education from 1970 until her retirement in 1989.
Mrs. Bradford was a member of Trinity Untied Methodist Church. She was a longtime member of the Greenville Newcomers Club. She enjoyed many years of playing bridge with close friends. She was a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Nancy Cutting and her brother, Henry K. Millhorn. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Clifton R. “Brad” Bradford of Greenville; son, Dr. Craig A. Bradford (Lynn) of Natchez, MS; daughter, Sarah Frances “Sancy” Womack (Michael) of Ripley, MS; two grandsons, Chase Bradford (Leslie) of Sneads Ferry, NC and Cole Bradford (Whitney) of Natchez, MS; two granddaughters, Sarah Lepard of Madison, MS and Michelle Womack of Tuscumbia, AL; three great grandsons, Corey Lepard, Hayes Bradford and Matthew Bradford.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, 850 McAllister St, Greenville, MS 38701 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
