Funeral services for Jeanette Tharp Diamond, 74, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 8 at Boone-Smith Funeral Home, 1580 S. Colorado St. She died on Wednesday, July 5 at her home. Burial will be in Leland-Stoneville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born October 11, 1942 to Tommy and Wilma Tharp. Jeanette was the oldest of four children. She was married for 56 loving years to Lamon Diamond, Sr. Jeanette was the mother of 2 children, Pam and Lamon Earl. She retired after 25 years as a bank teller.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers ,Wesley Earl Tharp and Terry Tharp. She is survived by her husband, Lamon, daughter, Pam Lea (Dan), and their two children, Nathan and Brian; son, Lamon Earl and his two children Taylor and Dillon; and brother, Tony Tharp (Lori).
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Jeanette’s name to Emmanuel Baptist Church at 3600 Glendale Road, Greenville, MS 38703.
