Funeral services for Jerry Dean Beal, 81, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Allegiance Specialty Hospital in Greenville. There will be a visitation from 1:00 until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery.
He was born in Knoxville, TN on October 17, 1937. He served in the Air Force and was stationed in Greenville, MS. He worked as a Tool and Die Maker at Nicholson File for 41 years until his retirement.
Jerry is preceded in death by the love of his life of 48 years, Shirley Harper Beal. He is also preceded by his father and mother John and Mabel Beal, and sisters Betty Pratt and Dot Shelton.
Survivors include a son, Jerry (Lori) Beal, Jr. of Forney, TX, and daughters , Kathleen (Tom) Misner and Leslie Edwards of Greenville, MS.; brothers, J.D Beal, Bob Beal, and Jimmy Ray Beal; sisters, June Kurtz and Charlotte Phillips; seven grandchildren, Brandon Worbington, Brittany Shields, Megan English, Cameron Misner, Kristyn Edwards, Kasey Beal, and Bailey Beal; four great grandchildren Tristen Remediz, Sydney Shields, Grayson Misner, and Addyson Misner.
Jon Reed McClendon will be the officiating minister. Pallbearers will be Brandon Worbington, Cameron Misner, Kasey Beal, and Bobby Shields. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital of Memphis, TN.
