Graveside services for Jerry Lee Smith, 68, of Hollandale will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30 at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery. He died Saturday, April 23 at University of MS Health Care in Lexington, MS. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
He was born in Benoit, MS moving to Greenville where he graduated from Greenville High School and then graduated from Mississippi Delta Community College. Mr. Smith then married Sandra Lashley making their home in Hollandale where he owned and operated Kay’s Home Furnishings, closing in 2006 due to ill health.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Effie Smith; 6 sibilings and 1 grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Lashley Smith; 5 daughters, Tammy Owens (Chris) of Leland, Melissa Patrick (David) of Gulport, Kristie Jones (Mark) of Gulfport, Angelia Allen (Charlie) of Laurel and Jennifer Smith of Hollandale.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 30 at Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
