Funeral services for Jewel Williams Swarner, 81, of Greenville will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, October 21, 2013 at Greenville Bible Church. She went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Delta Regional Medical Center due to complications of pneumonia. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born on December 27, 1931 in Waterford, MS. She was one of ten children, of which there is one surviving brother, James E. Williams. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Lee Swarner. She is survived by two sons, Edward Eugene Swarner and Tommy Lee Swarner and one daughter, Julia Ann Swarner.
She was a registered nurse employed by King’s Daughters Hospital for 35 years. She graduated from the King’s Daughters Hospital School of Nursing in 1954. She also worked at Family Medical Center for 10 years. She was a very kind and compassionate nurse and servant of the Lord.
The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, October 20, 2013 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. Dr. Ken Burkett will officiate.
