Jimmie Claud O’Brian

Jimmie Claud O’Brian, 84, of Greenville, Mississippi, met his heavenly Father on Wednesday, November 5, 2025. We are comforted by the knowledge that he was met by his loving wife, parents, sisters, and close friends. We can only imagine the reunion they are having!

Born June 6, 1941, in Leflore County (Booger Den community), Mississippi, to Jimmy and Mary Lee O’Brian. Jimmie was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from Unisys and Sears, and worked as an independent IT contractor. He was also honorably discharged from the United States Army National Guard.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy O’Brian; his mother, Mary Lee O’Brian White; his sisters: Francis O’Brian, Doris O’Brian Owens, and Sue O’Brian Davis; and his loving wife of thirty-three years, Sandra Lee O’Brian.

Jimmie is survived by his children: his daughters Bethany O’Brian Greco and Farra O’Brian Criswell (Neal), and his son Jimmy O’Brian, Jr (Kristen); and his stepchildren, Phillip Karr (Beth), Brenda Karr, and Karen Karr Clossman. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Robbie, Ben, Tanner and Blair Greco, Gabe and Nathan Criswell, Addie (fiancé Riley Keesey) and Neely O’Brian, Jamie Karr Grieshaber (Stephen), Jimmy Karr (Alycia), Jeana Karr Lott (Brandon), Logan Aultman, Peyton Clossman (Natalia), Adam Clossman and a host of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews who were more like siblings, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Boone Funeral Home in Greenville, Saturday, November 8, 2025, at noon, with the service to follow, celebrating Jimmie’s life at 1:00 P.M.

Jimmie’s quick wit, ability to spin a yarn, work ethic, care for others (especially family), generosity, and reliability will be deeply missed by all who remember him.
