Funeral services for Jimmy Ray “Bubba” Hollingsworth, 59, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Calvary Baptist Church. He died Tuesday, January 2 at St. Dominic Hospital, Jackson. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Hollingsworth was born in Minner City, MS moving to Greenville where he received his education. He married Karen Bennett making their home in Greenville where he was a auto mechanic before becoming supervisor for the Mississippi Department of Rehabilitation Services.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church where he sang in the choir. He loved the outdoors spending time with his horses and dogs. He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Mr. Hollingsworth was a devoted husband and father. He is survived by his wife, Karen Hollingsworth of Greenville; daughter, Amy H. Manning (Dale) of Greenville; son, Lee Hollingsworth of Greenville; father, James Hollingsworth of Greenville; four sisters, Paula Reed (Warren) of Greenville, Donna Nichols (Bobby) of Jackson, Sandra Winter of Biloxi and Brenda Starks (Wally) of New Mexico and one grandson, Parker Manning.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
