Jodie Colleen Sanderlin Colbert, 94, of Greenville, Mississippi died on September 22, 2020 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted by Boone Funeral Home of Greenville. Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, services will be limited to the immediate family in the interest of public health.
She was born in Monticello, Arkansas on December 9, 1925 to Judge Roy L. and Ethel Kizer Sanderlin.
She graduated from Drew Central High School in Monticello. Colleen married Frank Colbert in 1949. After living in Lake Providence, Louisiana for a few years, they moved to Greenville.
Colleen was a devoted wife and mother. She also worked as a teller at Trustmark National Bank for twenty-three years. Frank and Colleen became members of First Baptist Church in 1962. They appreciated the support of their church family, even when declining health in their later years prevented regular attendance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother, R.L. Sanderlin, sisters, Louise Hadfield and Reba Harper, and daughter, Connie Colbert Graves. She is survived by her son, Mark Colbert and his wife, Pam, of Stuttgart, Arkansas, her daughter, Lisa Colbert of Greenville, Mississippi, and several nieces and nephews.
