Private graveside services for John Allen (Billy) Nipper, 90, of Chatham will be held at Greenfield Cemetery. He passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Sharkey-Issaquena County Hospital in Rolling Fork. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
He was born in Arkansas, the son of William Richard and Anna Banks Garner Nipper. In 1954 he married Roberta Lee (Dutchie) Landers. They moved to Chatham, MS in 1960 where they were engaged in farming. Mr. Nipper was a member of Glen Allan United Methodist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife in April.
He is survived by four children, Lynnette (Frank) Stone of Chatham, Jeff (Connie) Nipper of Rolling Fork, Garry (Dawn) Nipper of Chatham and Larry (Lisa) Nipper of Chatham; nine grandchildren, Will (Elizabeth) Nipper of Rolling Fork, Anna (Billy) Threet of Grace, Justin (Meriwalker) Nipper of Greenville, Drew (Kristin) Nipper of Glen Allan, Nikki (Daniel) New of Glen Allan, Allen (Brittany) Stone of Wayside, Julia (Trey) Densford of Greenville, Nelson Nipper of Hattiesburg and John Jared Nipper of Chatham; eighteen great grandchildren, Christian Britt, Shelbee Nipper, Alyssa Stone, Jackson Nipper, Joseph Nipper, Hayes Nipper, Eris New, Jace Nipper, Hall Nipper, Collins Nipper, Tucker Burns, Levi Stone, Emma Craig Nipper, Lane Nipper, Molly New, McKinley Densford, Owen Stone and Lexi Stone; and a sister, Ruth Thiry.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Glen Allan United Methodist Church.
