John Edward Carroll III passed away on October 13, 2024. A memorial was held on October 20, 2024. He was buried at County Line Cemetery in Glen Allan, MS, with his mother, Cindy, and sister, Reesie.
John Boy was born on January 9, 1981, in Vicksburg, MS His favorite pastimes were spending time with his grandchildren, working on vehicles, playing cards and dominoes. He also loved working with his Uncle Chuck Cooper and the rest of the Cooper cousins. He also loved spending time with his 2 favorite uncles, Steve and Cliff, who were father figures to him.
John Boy was preceded in death by his mother Cynthia (Cindy) Ratcliff, his infant daughter Lily, his sister Teresa (Reesie) Carroll, his maternal grandparents Clyde and Robbie Ratcliff, his Uncle Cliff, and his paternal grandfather Robert Johnson Cooper.
John Boy is survived by his 3 daughters, Hannah Carroll Pascuzzi, Dixie Carroll, and Gracie Carroll; sister Sandra Ratcliff Davis; 4 brothers, Ricky Cooper Jr., Robert Cooper, Ryan Cooper, and Chance Cooper; his father Ricky Cooper, Sr.; a stepdaughter, Kayla Hilton as well as 2 grandchildren and 3 step grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by his 3 maternal cousins, who were like sisters to him: Whittney, Andrea, and Amanda Ratcliff. He will also be missed by his Uncle Steve, Aunt Laurie, Aunt Peggy, Aunt Jane, and numerous other relatives.
