Funeral Mass for John William Welch, 69, of Greenville will be at 10:30 am., Friday, November 18 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. He died at his home. He was laid to rest in a private graveside service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
John was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and was an active 4th Degree Knight. After graduation from St. Joseph High School he worked in construction in earlier years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Tina Welch and by a brother, Pat Welch. He is survived by 2 sisters, Shirley Phillips (Jimmy) of Greenville and Debra Giachelli (Gary) of Brandon; 3 nephews, Richy Giachelli of Hernando, Greg Phillips of Greenville and John Patrick Phillips of Flowood; and by a niece, Kim Truss of Austin, TX.
