Private graveside services for Johnny Dale Burns, 75, of Springdale, AR formerly of Greenville will be held at the Greenville Cemetery. He died Saturday, August 27, 2022 at home in Springdale, AR. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Johnny was born on October 8, 1946 in Canton, MS to Hulet and Pearline Peeples Burns. Moving to Leland at an early age, he graduated from Leland High School. He later moved to Greenville where he was the owner of Greenville Block and Brick. After his retirement he moved to Northwest Arkansas.
He enjoyed stock car and nascar racing, watching college football and was an animal lover.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Danny Burns. He is survived by two daughters, Stephanie Burns Chamblee (Stan) of Madison, MS and Stacey Burns Hoskins (Trey) of Elm Spring, AR; two sons, Michael Burns of Pineville, LA and John Burns of Gardner, LA; brother, Curtis Burns; two sisters, Brenda McDill and Bobbie Pambianchi; and seven grandchildren, John Hayden Hoskins, Mary Linn Hoskins, Justine Burns, Blake Burns, Tyler Burns, Cameron Burns and Harper Burns.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, AR for taking such good care of Johnny and showing such compassion to him and his family at this difficult time. A special thank you to hospice nurses Chad and Kelli for their amazing care and support, Charlotte his hospice aide and Chaplain Debbie and Chaplain Laurie for all their encouragement during this difficult time.
