Joseph Cirilli

Graveside services for Joseph Cirilli, 90, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 19, 2021 at the Greenville Cemetery. He passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at his home. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.

Mr. Cirilli was born on a farm near Clarksdale, MS on April 19, 1930 to Henry and Lydia Mangialardi Cirilli. He graduated from Dublin High School in Dublin, MS in 1948. He served in the United States Air Force from 1951-1955 during the Korean War.

On February 4, 1956 he married Rose Marie Campbell in Leland. Joe was employed at Goodyear Tire Company, Clarksdale, MS, Greenville, MS and Benton, AR until 1963. In 1963 he begin working at Gilworth Tire Company as a salesman and retail manager until he retired in 1991.

Joe was an avid fisherman. He was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, serving on the Pastoral Care Ministry. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish Council, Knights of Columbus, and St. Joseph High School Athletic Association. Joe was a member of the Delta Sams Camping Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Charlie Cirilli of Clarksdale, and his infant son, Mark Alan Cirilli. He is survived by his wife, Rose Marie Cirilli of Greenville; sons, Dr. Michael (Sandra) Cirilli of Greenville, Steve (Anna) Cirilli of Jackson and Dr. Gary (Pam) Cirilli of Madison; sister, Mary Cirilli of Clarksdale; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Byron) Norman of Starkville, Krystina Cirilli of Tupelo, Ashley (Ryan) Farlow of Birmingham and Joseph Cirilli of Vestavia Hills, AL; and great grandchildren, Alys,Eli and Rivera Farlow, Mila Cirilli and Lillian Norman.

The family would like to acknowledge much appreciation to Delta Health Alliance Home Healthcare and Hospice and a special thank you to Sara Jones.

The family requests that memorials be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church or St. Vincent de Paul.
