A funeral mass for Josephine Bassi Morlino of Leland will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 18 at St. James Catholic Church. She passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Josephine was born November 27,1928 to Odoni and Mina Bassi of Rosedale. She graduated from Leland Public School. She worked for Delta Insurance Agency and as a homemaker. Josephine was a communicant of St. James Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Morlino and sister, Ethel Cascio. She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Shivers (Jeffrey) of Cleveland and Mina Spinosa (Joe) of Madison, MS; her son, Kirby Morlino of Greenville; her brother, Albert Bassi of Leland; 5 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Phillip Morlino, Brad Shivers, Joseph Spinosa, Kris Shelton, Murat Gur and Kim Sabbatini. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Research Hospital or a charity of your choice. A visitation will be held one hour before services Monday at the church from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
