Funeral Mass for Josephine “Jo” Ridgeway, age 88, formerly of Greenville, will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 13, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 412 Main Street, Greenville. She passed away peacefully in D’iberville, Mississippi on September 6, 2021. Burial will follow in the Indianola City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Jo resided on the coast of Mississippi for the past five years. Her earlier years were spent in Greenville, Mississippi, where she retired as a retail salesperson in 1993. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and a loyal friend, loved by all. Jo loved to sing, dance, and was always up for a good party, as she was “the life of any party.” She was a devout Catholic, and a long-time parishioner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
She is survived by her six children: Jani Clare Ridgeway Keller, Maurice James “Bo” Ridgeway, Karla Jo Ridgeway Dorfler, John Mark Ridgeway, Michael Dale Ridgeway, and Jacqueline Jean “Lu” Ridgeway; seven grandchildren: Robert Franklin Keller,II, Alexandra Clare Keller, George Edward Dorfler,III, John Mitchell Ridgeway, Catherine Nicole Ridgeway, John Michael Ridgeway, and Sara Jo Ridgeway; and two great-grandchildren: Charlie Jude Ridgeway and Isabella Marie Ridgeway. She is also survived by 3 sisters: Angelina Williamson, Rosalie New, and Virginia Casali.
A visitation will be held one hour before Mass on Monday at the church.
