Funeral services for Joyce T. Williams, 78, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 1, 2019 at South Main Church of Christ. She passed away Sunday, October 27, 2019 at Delta Regional Medical Center. Burial will be in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Williams was born in Denison, TX then moved to the Mississippi Delta at an early age where she graduated from Sunflower High School in Coahoma County. After high school she married Noel Williams and they have made their home in Greenville since 1960.
She was a member of South Main Church of Christ and was a loving servant to others. Her greatest loves were, God, church, and family.
Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her mother and father, Mildred and Jim Woodson; two sons, Noel Williams, Jr. and Jimmy Williams and a brother, Charles Moore. She is survived by her husband Noel Edwin Williams of Greenville; daughter, Cindy Williams Strange (John) of Maumelle, AR; son, N. H. Williams (Katie) of Greenville; two sisters, Mary Jenkins of Clarksdale and Bunny Peters of Amite, LA; brother, Jack Woodson of Bruce, MS; eight grandchildren, Brad Williams, Alicia Leverette, John Noel Strange, Edwin Strange, Joseph Strange, Nate Williams, Brock Williams, and Tilton Williams; and by two great grandchildren, Sadie Williams and James Leverette.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Friday at South Main Church of Christ. The family requests memorials be made to Sunnybrook Children’s Home, 222 Sunnybrook Road, Ridgeland, MS 39157 or to South Main Church of Christ Food Pantry, 1700 S. Main Street, Greenville, MS 38701.
