Funeral services for Karen Causey Eddleman, 71, will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday at First Baptist Church Chapel, Greenville. She passed away Friday, August 20, 2021, at her home surrounded by her family. A family burial will take place in the Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Born October 1, 1949, in Greenville, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late John Davis Causey, Jr. and the late Angeline Cooper Causey. Mrs. Eddleman graduated from Greenville High School in 1967 and then attended Mississippi State University in 1971 where she met and married her husband, John Luther Eddleman. They were married on July 27, 1973, making their home in Greenville, MS.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Greenville, Mississippi, and a long time member of Helen Jordan’s Sunday school class. She had a gift for teaching and taught until her retirement in 2014.
She was a lifetime member of the Junior Auxilliary of Greenville, MS. She will best be remembered for her love of family. She was a wonderful wife, mother, Mimi, and friend.
She is survived by her husband John Luther Eddleman, one son, Kirk Cooper Eddleman (Beth), of Oxford, Mississippi and one daughter, Amy Eddleman Ashley, (William), of Birmingham, Alabama; three grandchildren Cooper and Luci Eddleman and Will Ashley and a brother, John Causey.
There will be a visitation from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to First Baptist Church Greenville, Mississippi, and The American Cancer Society or to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank Dr. Paul Seago and his wonderful nurses and staff for their care during her illness, and her wonderful sitters for their attentive care and compassion selflessly given to our mother and Mimi.
