Funeral services for Kathryn Shearer Booth, 94, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m, Monday, October 19 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She died Thursday, October 15 at The Oaks on Parkwood, Bessemer, AL. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Booth was born in Scott County, MS the daughter of Benjamin and Emma Shearer. She married Robert Elmo Booth on December 25, 1945 and they lived in Hollandale until 1950. In November 1953 they moved to Greenville. She was a longtime member of Parkview Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1992. She is survived by 2 sons, John Robert “Bob” Booth (Julia) of Birmingham, AL and Raymon Allan “Al” Booth of Jackson, MS; a brother, Ben Shearer (Jimmie) of Jackson, MS; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchild.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
