Funeral services for Kenneth “Kent” Lee Ellingburg of Greenville will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 13 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Delta Health-The Medical Center, Greenville. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home.
Kent was born January 3, 1962 in Greenville. He served 4 years in the National Guard and worked many years at USG and Greenville Metal Works. He was also self-employed with Delta Fence and Maintenance.
Kent was preceded in death by his mother, Willodine Farmer, his father, Grady Ellingburg, and his step-father, Reed Farmer. He is survived by a daughter, Laura Ellingburg of Greenville; a step-son, Chance Selman (Danielle) of Greenville; 4 sisters, Sheila Scrivner (Ned), Carol Hanks (Tommy), Ann Bennett (Keith), and Rena Farmer; and 4 brothers, Michael Ellingburg, Richard Farmer (Brett), Donald Farmer (Leslie) and Marty Farmer. Kent was known as Papaw to his grandchildren, Piper and Luke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Kent very much.
A visitation will be held 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 12 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
