Kevin Winn Flowers

Funeral services for Kevin Winn Flowers, 53, of Greenville will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 29, at St. James Episcopal Church. He died Friday, December 25 at Legacy Manor in Greenville. Burial will follow in the Greenville Cemetery.

Kevin was born in Greenville and graduated from All Saints Episcopal School in Vicksburg. After attending the University of Central Arkansas, he worked in Palatka, Florida for Central States Diversified as part of the sales group division for Central America. He later moved to Mandeville, Louisiana and was employed as a Compliance Officer with Florida Marine Transporters. Kevin was a devoted father to his children and a volunteer coach for Little League T-Ball. Kevin accepted Christ as his personal savior at First Baptist Church in Greenville, MS as a young man. Kevin had a great love for all of God’s creatures and had a number of special dogs during his lifetime. He also enjoyed the great outdoors – hunting, fishing and riding his motorcycle. One special memory he greatly enjoyed recounting was his opportunity to participate in a trip to the Annual Sturgis Rally held in South Dakota.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Emily and Lilly Flowers; 2 sons, Jacob and James Flowers; his mother, Gladys Massey Hogg; his father, J. Russell Flowers (Jill); a brother, Rusty Flowers (Bridget), all of Greenville; 2 stepsisters, Dr. Leesa Hogg Smith (Dr. Emmett) of Cleveland, MS and Kimberly Hogg Thompson (Steve) of Hardy, AR; a stepbrother, James P. Hogg, Jr. (Brenda) of Jackson, MS; special nieces, Anna Flowers of Ridgeland, MS and Jesse Flowers of Memphis, TN.
Kevin’s family extends a special thank you to Greg Schilling of Covington LA for all of his devoted help caring and sitting with Kevin in his final months; a special thank you to Sarah Jones, RN of Delta Regional Hospice for her devoted nursing care; and a special thank you to the staff of Legacy Manor.

A receiving and visitation with the family will be held at 10:00 a.m. before the funeral at 11:00.
