Funeral services for Lawrence Edward Kirby, 86, of Greenville will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. He died Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Delta Health-The Medical Center. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mr. Kirby was born November 15, 1934 in Wilmar, AR to the late Edward D. Kirby and Evora E. Hogue Kirby. He moved to Greenville after high school and retired from Miller Transport Company. Mr. Kirby enjoyed fishing, squirrel hunting and shelling pecans.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Kirby; sisters, Joann Miller of Virginia and Linda Kirby of Greenville and brother, Buddy Kirby of Greenville. He is survived by two sons, Tommy (Theresa) Kirby of Greenville and Mike (Tammie) Kirby of Breaux Bridge, LA; a daughter Traci (Scott) Kirby Heigle of Biloxi, MS; eight grandchildren, Caitlin, Thomas (Mary), Mike (Lindsey), Jenna (Adam), Blake, Justin (Brooke), Dale, Craig (Jessica) and BJ (Brittany) and eleven great grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday. Pallbearers will be Buster Mascagni, John Loyacono, Tommy Pittman, Thomas Pittman, Mark Edwards and Todd Olm and honorary pallbearers are Keith Chunn and Justin Wade.
