Liddell Martin

Funeral services for Liddell Martin, 74, of Hattiesburg and formerly of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 6 at Greater Faith Tabernacle, Greenville. He went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 2 in Hattiesburg. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. 

Liddell Martin was born to William Hershel Martin and Ada Desell Ray Martin in Vicksburg on October 5, 1942. He joined the US Navy when he was 17 years old and served his country for four years. He was employed at Superior Boat Works in Greenville where he worked for years until 1995. 

Brother Dale accepted Christ as his Savior at Oral Baptist Church on July 31, 2005 where he served as a faithful member and later as a deacon who truly loved the Lord. Dale was truly blessed. 

He was preceded in death by his loving father, Hershel Martin, mother, Desell Martin, and his beloved wife of 49 years, Frances Huggins Martin. He leaves to cherish his unforgettable memories, son, Johnny Liddell Martin (Patricia); daughter, Dianne Martin St. Clair (Eddie); three granddaughters, Crystal Bernard, Christin Thompson, and Nichole Martin; grandson, Jacob Martin; five great-grandchildren, Angela Bernard, Tanner Bernard, Hailly Bernard, Alayna Oregeron, Hunter Lytell; brother, Doyle Martin (Joann); four sisters, Helen Lyles (Buddy), Mary Rollins, Carolyn Ellis (Charles), and Vonda Rochelle (Wayne); sister-in-law, Joycie Peebles (Johnny), and numerous nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Carol Neilson.

There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
