Funeral services for Lois Castle Pinkerton, 84, of Hollandale will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Hollandale Baptist Church. She died Tuesday, September 18 at her home. Burial will be in the Hollandale Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Mrs. Pinkerton was born in Itta Bena, MS and received her education in Isola. She married Chester Pinkerton and they made their home in Hollandale where she was employed with the Bank of Hollandale. She retired as Branch Manager after 33 years of service. Mrs. Pinkerton was a member of Hollandale Baptist Church.
She loved baking and cooking and sharing with everyone just for the joy and smiles on their faces.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 2004. She is survived by daughter, Joy Winters (Bunky) of Hollandale; son, Wayne Pinkerton (Daryl) Pinkerton of Laurel; 2 brothers, Johnnie Wylie Castle, Jr. of Holcomb and Samuel Castle of Pocahontas; sister, Ruth Sherrer of Forney, TX; three grandchildren and seven great grandchild.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Memorials may be made to Hollandale Bapist Church.
