Funeral services for Lonnie Cordell Cavender, 96, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday at Maranatha Assembly of God Church on Cypress Lane. She died Tuesday. Burial will be County Line Cemetery under the direction of Boone -Smith Funeral Home, Greenville.
She was born in Skene MS in 1920. Mrs. Cavender was well known in Greenville for her love and dedication to Maranatha Assembly of God Church and was also active in several Bible Study groups in the area. She and her husband operated Shady Acre Trailer Park and owned rental property in Greenville since returning to Mississippi from California in 1970.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jodie Cavender, a daughter, Jerry Flowers, two grandsons, Ronnie and Michael Coffee. She is survived by a daughter, Rita Boeve and husband Warren of Greenville.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church. Rev. Anthony Prestage will officate at the service and Pastor Scott Volland will assist. Pallbearers are Tyler Williford, Zack Winter, James Wilson, Russ McPherson, Bruce Davis and Jeremy Lewis.
