Funeral services for Lora Abernathy Williamson, 94, of Hollandale, MS will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, June 27, at Hollandale Baptist Church. She entered into eternal glory on Sunday, June 23, 2013. Burial will be in Hollandale Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Williamson was born on October 19, 1918, in Tuscaloosa County, AL, to the late James and Octavie (Hodo) Abernathy. She attended Hollandale Baptist Church, and was retired from South Washington County Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and sewing.
On October 24, 1934 she married the late Eugene Dudley Williamson. She is survived by their three daughters, Margaret Sims and husband Joe of Hollandale, MS; Dorothy Outlaw and husband Henry of Belzoni, MS; and Mamie Aust and husband Curtis of Itta Bena, MS.
Other survivors include her eight grandchildren Annette Brown and husband Larry of Greenville, MS; Curtis Sims and wife Holli of Fulshear, TX; Gail Manor and husband Jack of Hollandale, MS; Henry Outlaw, III, and wife Missy of Belzoni, MS; Sharon Hayes and husband Steve of Brandon, MS; William Outlaw and wife Tonya of Coila, MS; Kristy Bariola and husband John of Itta Bena, MS; and Terri Thompson and husband Tommy of Corinth, MS; eighteen great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and friends.
Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her son, Eugene Clayton Williamson; her grandson, Barry Outlaw; and four sisters, Alma Linebarger, Pearlie Castles, Blanche Aust and Mamie Winters.
Pallbearers will be her three grandsons Curtis Sims, Henry Outlaw, III, and William Outlaw; and her four grandsons-in-law Larry Brown, Steve Hayes, John Bariola, Jr., Tommy Thompson, and great grandson-in-law Dominic Tominello.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, at Boone Funeral Home Chapel, Hollandale. The Rev. Jack Manor, grandson-in-law, will officiate.
