Funeral services for Lorene Ault Wells Griffin, 83, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 4 at Boone-Smith Funeral Home, 1580 S. Colorado St., Greenville. She died Thursday, June 1 at her home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mrs. Griffin was born in Shaw, MS where she graduated from public school in 1948. She married Charles Wells and they made their home in Greenville. She later married P. B. Griffin and worked as a bookkeeper at the Marina on the Greenville water front. Mrs. Griffin was a member of New Life Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her husband P. B. Griffin and a son, Kenneth Wells. She is survived by a son, Joel Wells (Paula) of Greenville; 2 daughters, Vikki Wells Blackburn James (Larry) of Greenville and Susan Wells Kellogg (Leon) of Elm Grove, LA; a brother, John Ault (Ruth) of Atlanta, GA; sister, Linda Burgess of Belton, SC; 7 grandchildren, Jason Blackburn, Mary Margaret Lusk, MacKenzie Wyatt, Allison Kellogg, Aimmee Washington, Matt Wells, and Adam Wells; 5 great grandchildren, Mason Lusk, Tiser Lusk, Garrett Washington, Jillian Wells, and Addison Washington.
Mrs Griffin is remembered by her children as a loving , amazing Mother.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
