Funeral services for Edith Lucille “Lucy” Miller Clower, 91, of Atlanta will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 6 at Boone-Card Funeral Home, Indianola. She died on July 2, 2017 at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, GA. Burial will be in Indianola City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Indianola.
Lucy was born in Allen, MS in 1925. She met her husband, James R. Clower in Greenville, MS and they were married for 50 years until his death. Lucy loved the outdoors, planting flowers, and sitting in the warm sunshine. She had an outgoing and witty personality. Lucy was a strong woman in so many ways, she was strong minded, strong willed and most of all she was a beautiful woman.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Susan Clower Rome and Tracy Clower-Clark, son-in-law, Robert Clark; 3 sisters, Inez Miller Winstead, Irene Miller Morgan and Pauline Miller Browning; 4 grandchildren, William George Rome III, Jarrad, Lauren and Nicholas Clark; 2 step-grandchildren, Nicole and Renee Rome and 4 great grandchildren, Austin, Allie, Brittany and Brianna.
