Funeral Mass for Mable Abshire Etienne, 90, of Hollandale will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 4 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Hollandale. She died Thursday, March 2 at her home in Hollandale. Burial will be in Hollandale City Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Mrs. Etienne was a homemaker and her world was centered around grandkids, family and cooking large meals for family. Her favorite times were playing and winning cards with family.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Lucien Etienne, a son, Stanley Joseph Etienne, parents, Alice and Numa Abshire, brothers, Pete, Felix, Vernice, Nolan, Whitney, E. J. and Clabay Abshire and by a sister, Pearl Abshire Trahan.
She is survived by a son, Wilson Etienne (Patricia); daughter, Lorraine Etienne Bagley (Robert); 4 grandchildren, Tiffany Etienne, Stanley Joseph Bagley (Meshell), Tracy Etienne and Kim Bagley Rainwater (Scott) and 8 great grandchildren, Lane Lucien Etienne, Stanley Joseph Bagley, Jr. (Mackenzie), Madison Wheelis, Ethan Bagley, Clayton Rainwater, Jenna Brook Bagley, Eli Bagley and Hannah Rainwater.
There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the church.
