Mable Lindsay

Funeral services for Mable Pearl Porter Lindsay, 85, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 14 at Boone-Smith Funeral Home, 1580 S. Colorado.  She died Wednesday, July 11 at home.  Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Greenville.

She was born in Glen Allan, MS on November 9, 1932 and graduated from Glen Allan High School.  In 1952 Mable was married to James Bowie Lindsay, Sr.  She was a secretary at L&L Tool and she enjoyed playing basketball and fishing with her husband.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Eugene L. Porter and Charlie Smith Porter; sister, Virginia Porter Stockton; brother, Eugene L. Porter, Jr. and daughter, Cindy N. Lindsay Hubbard. She is survived by her husband, James Lindsay, Sr.; son, James Lindsay, Jr. (Joni); sister, Barbara Porter Evans; five grandchildren, James B. Lindsay III (Tabetha), Casey Lindsay (Vicki), Amber Lindsay Morain (Jesse), Bobby White and Cory Branch; and 15 great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
