Funeral Mass for Mackaleen “Mackie” Wooley Mauceli, 79, of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She died Friday, May 31, 2013 at Baptist Medical Center, Jackson. Burial will be in Greenville Cemetery under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville.
Mackie was born July 8, 1933 in Greenville to Lego and Carrie Pearl Wooley of Greenville. She was the loving wife of 61 years to Paul Mauceli, Sr. Prior to her marriage Mackie started her career at a young age as a paper girl for the Delta Democrat Times. After raising five children she started her Real Estate Career and was one of the first women in Real Estate in Greenville. She practiced Real Estate for 37 years and owned her own business, Century 21 Mackie Mauceli Realty.
Her hobbies included roller skating, tennis, and spending time with her grandchildren and children on many vacations to Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Sammy Wooley.
Mackie leaves many treasured friends, her husband; 5 children, Paul Mauceli, Sr. (Beth Ann) of Dallas, TX, Michael Joseph Mauceli (Sherry) of Dallas, TX, Gregory Cole Mauceli of Greenville, Beth Mauceli Blanc (Greg) of Strongsville, OH, Misti Mauceli Lewis (Mike) of Greenville; sister Dot Sledge of Greenville; 2 brothers, Charles Wooley and Rex Wooley both of Greenville; and 8 beautiftul grandchildren that she loved dearly!
The family will receive friends from 9:30-11:00 a.m., prior to the funeral mass at the church.
Family and friends are invited to Mrs. Mauceli’s home at 1499 Mary Street, after services, for a celebration of her life. Lunch will be served.
