Funeral services for Mae Hudson Burchfield, 85, of Indianola will be at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2013 at Boone-Card Funeral Home, Indianola. She died Monday, December 23, 2013 at Bolivar Medical Center, Cleveland. Burial will be in Indianola City Cemetery under the direction of Boone-Card Funeral Home, Indianola.
Mrs. Burchfield was born on July 13, 1928 in Skene, MS the daughter of Prince H. and Rosa Lee Mayo Hudson. She was retired as Sales Manager from Avon and Regal Cookware. She was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church, Indianola.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J. D. Burchfield, 2 sons, Kenny Burchfield and Buddy Burchfield, 2 sisters, Jeanette Gully and Joyce Malone and by a brother, James Green. She is survived by a son, Kirby Burchfield of Indianola; 2 sisters, Geneva Yates of Lakeland, FL and Lois Hope of Indianola; 2 brothers, Wayne Green and Edwin Lee Green both of Isola; 2 grandchildren, Michele Dearman (Phillip) of Oxford and Michael Burchfield (Amy) of Laurel; and 2 great grandchildren, Allie and Addison Burchfield.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
