Funeral services for Maggie Frances Williams Leach, 88, of Greenville will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Boone Funeral Home in Greenville. There will be a visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. She passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2024, at Washington Care Center. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Maggie was born on September 9, 1935, in Isola, MS to Malcrom and Rena L. Hatcher Williams. She started her working career at Moler Manufacturer before going to work at the Bessie J. Taylor Home. She worked for over 20 years at Bessie J. Taylor where she was the hostess and caregiver.
Maggie was a GIVER, always willing to help her children or anyone in need. She loved to hunt and fish, loved flowers, and loved to travel. She also loved line-dancing and going to church. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was a faithful servant of the Lord.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Leach; sister, Juanita Downs and brothers, Billy and Malcolm Williams; son-in-law, Jimmy Lyons and grandson-in-law, Daniel Escalante. She is survived by two daughters, Belinda Leach Lyons and Joyce Leach (Don) Ray; son, Jerry (Linda) Leach; sister, Jeanette Woods (Rankin) Roberts; three brothers, Leottis (Johnnie Ruth) Williams, David (Bonnie) Williams and Michael (Kay) Williams; 3 grandchildren, Jimmy D. (Memorie) Lyons, Tina Marie Escalante, and Shawn (Courtney) Ray; six great-grandchildren, Nikkolas (April) Lyons, Caleb Lyons, Colin Lyons, Cooper Escalante, Elizabeth Ray and Jaden Ray; and two great-great grandchildren, Oliver Lyons and Piper Lyons.
