Mamie Helen Dendy

Funeral services for Mamie Helen Dendy, 89, of Greenville will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 15, 2021 at Temple Baptist Church. She passed away peacefully on November 11, 2021 surrounded by her family. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mamie Helen Dendy was born January 11, 1932, in Eupora, Mississippi. She moved to the Delta in 1961 and retired from Nicholson File in 1990. After retirement she enjoyed many years of working in her yard, cooking for family, loving her church family, and spending time with her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and great great grandkids.

She is preceded in death by her parents O.P. and Maezelle Salley, her husband of 55 years Denver Dendy, brother Earl Salley, and her son in law Larry Lott.

She is survived by her daughter Margie Lott, son Curtis Dendy, grandchildren Stacy (Debby) Smith, Jennifer (Ken) Loftin, Jeff (Amanda) Smith, Lindsey (Bucky) McKinnon, Taylor Dendy, Randi (Steven) Toten, Matt (Toni) Lott, and Jeremy Lott. 20 great grandchildren: John Michael, Jacob, Haille, Hannah, Lucas, Ethan, Malorie, Marybeth, Darci, Hayden, Denver, Ben, Hunter, Ana, Thompson, Aubrey, Braxton, Ashton, Sierra, and Cody. 5 great great grandchildren: Mamie Reece, Riley, Kylie, Corbin, and Caislee. She is also survived by her church family of almost 50 years.

There will be a visitation from 12:00-1:00 p.m. on Monday at the church prior to the services. The services will be officiated by Brother Arthur Scott. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or ASPCA.

Pallbearers will be Bucky McKinnon, Hunter McKinnon, Ken Loftin, Colin McRaney, Matt Lott, and Steven Toten.
