Marcia Dare Huggins, 43, of Lakeland, TN lost her battle with cancer and went to the Lord on Sunday, August 23, 2015. Her services will be at Bellevue Baptist Church, 200 Appling Road, Cordova, Tennessee for her friends in the Memphis area on Thursday, August 27 with visitation starting at 1:00 p.m. and services to follow at 2:00 p.m. There will be a second funeral service on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at 3:00 p.m., at Boone-Card Funeral Home, Indianola, MS with a visitation prior to services beginning at 2:00 p.m.. Graveside services will follow at Indianola City Cemetery where she will be buried next to her beloved mother, Pauline.
She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas on April 21, 1972 the daughter of William C. and Pauline P. Huggins. She graduated from Troy State University in 1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. Marcia was an employee of Medtronic, a global medical technological corporation. Her interests varied from scuba diving, camping, biking, music, watching movies and community service to snow skiing. She had a great love for animals, especially her dogs which she often described as her little family. Marcia will be greatly missed not only by her family but by her many friends and associates.
Marcia was preceded in death by her mother Pauline Patrice Huggins. She is survived by her father William C. and wife Diana P. Huggins and three brothers Gregory Huggins of Memphis, Tennessee, Robert and wife Roslyn Huggins of Tomball, Texas and Christopher and wife Cathy Huggins of Frisco, Texas. She had six nephews and nieces, Kevin Huggins, Ashliegh Huggins, Alexander Huggins, Jacob Huggins, Nicole Huggins, and Janna Caruso.
