Memorial services for Margaret Ann Elliott Guyton, 76, of Hollandale will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 10, 2023, at Boone Funeral Home in Leland. She died on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Delta Health-The Medical Center.
Mrs. Guyton was born in Cary, MS where she received her education. In 1972 she married John Everette Guyton, and they made their home in Hollandale. She was a bookkeeper for Clarke, Bradley, and Baker retiring in 2020. Mrs. Guyton was also a master seamstress and a local artist and craftsman.
She is preceded in death by her husband in 2015; two brothers, Thomas Elliott, and J.E. Elliott; and three sisters, Mary Foster, Barbara Brown, and Alma Dickerson.
She is survived by a daughter, Valerie Clyde; stepsons, Dale Sanborn (Vicki) and John C. Guyton; brother, James D. Elliott (Guina); five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday before the memorial service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
