Funeral services for Margaret Pauline Donham Lott 87, of Merigold and formerly of Shaw, will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at Boone Funeral Home, Leland. She died Saturday, June 4 at Walter B. Crook Nursing Home in Ruleville. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Ms. Lott was born on July 6, 1928 to Alfred and Mayne Donham in Aberdeen, MS. She achieved her education in the Aberdeen, MS, and Shaw, MS, community schools. In September 1948 she married James A. Lott in Shaw, MS. The family lived in Greenville for the next twenty years. Margaret and James Allen moved back to the Shaw community in 1972, where she lived until moving to Merigold, MS to live with her daughter. She has resided at Walter B. Crook Nursing home since 2010.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha (Keith) Williams, of Merigold, MS; and son, Marvin (Kathleen) Lott of Cleveland, MS; seven grandsons James A. Lott III, John Lott, Donnie Williams, Steven Williams, Paul Williams, Brian Lott, Michael Lott and by her 11 great grandchildren; her brother Nelson(Alice) Donham of Avon, MS; sister, Catherine Graves of Morton, MS; sister, Dizzie Lee Johnston of Avon, MS; sister,Lucille Charron of Greenville, MS.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years James Allen Lott Sr., her son James Allen Lott Jr., her parents Alfred and Mayne Donham, her sister Bessie Hollins, and her brother David Donham.
Pallbearers will be her seven grandsons.
There will be a visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at the funeral home in Leland. The family would like to thank the nurses, Dr. Aquino, and Dr. Cosue at Walter B Crook Nursing Home for taking care of our mother and grandmother for the last six years.
