Graveside services for Margie Kent Cooper, 91, of Glen Allen, MS, will be at 2:00 p.m. at County Line Cemetery. She passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at Sharkey-Issaquena Nursing Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Greenville, MS.
Mrs. Cooper was born on January 26, 1935, in Delta City, MS, to Stannie Austin Kent and Jimmie Lou Morgan Kent.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening, and was a collector of many things, such as tea pots and blue, white chinoiserie ginger jars, bowls & vases.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Cooper, in 1998, her three brothers, James Austin “Bub” Kent, Charles Lamar “Rusty” Kent, Ray “Dusty” Kent, and her sister, Loraine “Shine” Tucker.
She is survived by two sons, Robert “Chuck” Cooper (Becki) and Ricky Cooper (Tina); four grandchildren, Ricky Cooper, Jr. (Anne), Robert Cooper, Ryan Cooper, and Chance Cooper; three great-grandchildren, her special daughter-in-law and caregiver of many years, Louise Cooper, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Margie will be remembered for her love for her family, her passion for growing flowers, knowing the names of them all, and watching old westerns with her four-legged friends.
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Lake Washington Baptist Church.
