Funeral services for Marjorie Wells Johnson, 94, of Preston, MS and formerly of Greenville will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville. She passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 in Preston. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Johnson was a very devout Christian and was the organist at the Church of the Open Door in Greenville for many years. She was a very loving Mother to her children and cherished the love of her life, Sonny Johnson. She worked/retired as a Surgical nurse at Kings Daughter’s Hospital in Greenville MS after completing her nurses training at Charity hospital in New Orleans LA.
She is survived by two daughters Ann (Don) Harmon of Orange Beach AL, Janet (Louis) Leonard of Preston, MS, and one son Alan Johnson of Ridgeland MS. She will also be remembered by nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
