Memorial services for Mark D. O’Neal, 76, of Lake Village, AR will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 21, 2023 at Boone Funeral Home, Greenville, MS. He passed away at his home on Lake Chicot in Arkansas on February the 16, 2023.
Mark was born in Greenwood, Mississippi to Arnold and Carrie O’Neal. He worked for USG Interiors in Greenville Mississippi for thirty-five years. He was a caregiver to his wife, neighbors, and animals. His greatest past time was to be outside enjoying nature, including his yard and his beloved burn pit.
He was preceded in death by his parents, listed above; his son Mark Stacy O’Neal, sister’s, Kay Greer, Betty Toten, and Sarah Pittman.
He is survived by his loving wife Helen O’Neal; two children, Melissa Shepherd of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Pam Coffee of Lake Village, Arkansas; two siblings, Eddie O’Neal of Greenville, Mississippi and Mable Burrus of Dumas, Arkansas and three grandchildren, Mark Shepherd, Dylan Coffee, and Rebecca Coffee.
Living in a state of gratitude is the gateway to grace. That is what brings us comfort today. He always expressed how grateful he was to have the life he did. Gratefulness was the foundation of his entire life. Today on Behalf of him we hope we all can express gratitude for one another. As for he would want us to lean on one another, not out of grief but out of celebration of his life well lived.
There will be a visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m., on Tuesday at the funeral home.
