Funeral services for Mary Catherine Williams Heranney of Vincent, Alabama and formerly of Hollandale, Mississippi will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 12 at Hollandale Baptist Church. She died at her home on Saturday, July 9. Burial will follow in the Hollandale Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
Mrs. Heranney was born in Arkansas on November 19, 1927. She moved to Mississippi with her family and received her education. She married Joseph Heranney March 24, 1946. They made their home in Hollandale and owned and operated H & H Construction Company. They retired in the late 1970s and became associated with the Southern Baptist Association, where they helped with mission work and building churches throughout the world. She was a member of Hollandale Baptist Church.
Mrs. Heranney was preceded in death by her husband in 2020, a son, and 2 grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter, Linda Kay White of Birmingham, AL, 2 sons, Joseph Heranney, Jr. of Lebanon, VA and Audie B. Heranney of Hollandale; 7 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held 30 minutes before the service at the church on Tuesday from 10:30-11:00.
