Graveside services for Mary Ellen Jones Ramsey, 88, of Greenville will be at 2:30 Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Hollandale Cemetery. She died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at Washington Care Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Boone Funeral Home, Leland.
She was born in Scott County, MS moving to the Darlove Community with her parents at an early age. She attended the Arcola and Hollandale public schools. Mrs. Ramsey was a homemaker and a Baptist.
She was preceded in death by her husband James F. Ramsey in 1973, her daughter, Marla Kay Seal, 3 sisters and 8 brothers.
She is survived by 4 sons, Jimmy Paul Ramsey of Hollandale, Roger Dale Ramsey of Hollandale, Fredrick A. Ramsey of Laurel and Joseph Ross Ramsey of Aurora, CO; a sister, Margaret J. Oswalt of Grenada; 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Thursday at Boone Chapel, Hollandale.
