Funeral services for Mary Gladys Wilson Adams, 97, of Greenville, will be at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Emmanuel Baptist Church. There will be a visitation from 1:30 p.m. until the service time at the church. She passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at her home. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Adams was born on August 29, 1928, to Leonard and Ruth Mobley Wilson. She worked as a Clerk with the U.S. Postal Service for many years. Her hobbies included sewing, painting, and making teddy bears. Mrs. Adams was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles A. Adams, and six siblings.
She is survived by two daughters, Ellen Kimes (Curtis) and Terri Brewer (John); two sons, Larry Adams (Mellannie) and Donny Adams; nine grandchildren, Chris Kimes (Ashley), April Lovelace (James), Amy Johnson, Jamie Lanford (Paul), Mary Kathryn Kight (Jimmy), Andrew Adams (Jordan), John Austin Brewer, Bogan Brewer, and Kaylynn Brewer; ten great-grandchildren, Jax Kimes, Peyton Kimes, Ella Johnson, Loree Beth Lanford, Mabree Lanford, Claire Kight, Charlie Kight, Wyatt Adams, Nora Grace Adams and one on the way. She is also survived by two brothers, George Wilson (Patsy) and Tommy Wilson (Joyce); a sister, Kathy McNeer (Joe), and a sister-in-law, Sharon Wilson.
